A stingy restaurant. One day I ordered a dish that arrived awful, burnt, and inedible. Instead of asking for a refund, I left it on credit. Two weeks later, when I asked for the dish I had left unused, I tried to add things I'd ordered the previous day, like a soda and a snack, paying for the extras, of course, and was told I'd have to charge a delivery fee. Total nonsense. I tried to speak to management several times, but they never responded.

From the moment we arrived at Kawa Restaurant, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance was modern, warm, and inviting, setting the perfect stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The service was exceptional, with Ade as our server—attentive, friendly, and fluent in English. His enthusiasm and professionalism elevated our experience, making us feel genuinely welcomed. It was fun exchanging a mix of Portuguese and English, adding a playful element to the meal.nnThe food was a masterclass in Japanese cuisine. Every dish we ordered was beautifully prepared, with a special focus on salmon-based creations. The salmon was incredibly soft, almost melting in the mouth, and paired perfectly with crisp textures and rich flavors. The Togawa Special, with its sesame-crusted seared sashimi, ponzu sauce, roe, and green onion, was an absolute standout—delicate, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The Edo Sequence was another masterpiece, combining seared salmon with foie gras in a way that felt like the butter of the sea meeting the butter of the land. The textures and deep umami flavors made every bite unforgettable.nnFor dessert, we had the Tamago, a molecular gastronomy creation that looked like a fried egg but surprised us with an explosion of coconut candy and passion fruit flavors. It was visually impressive and a perfect way to end the meal.nnTo complement our food, we tried two different sake options—one dry and bold, the other smooth and refined. Each paired beautifully with our dishes, enhancing the flavors in a way that made the experience even more memorable.nnOne of the highlights of the night was meeting the owner, who shared the history of his family’s journey from Japan to Brazil during World War II and how they built this incredible restaurant. Hearing his story added a personal and meaningful touch to an already outstanding evening.nnKawa exceeded all expectations. From the beautifully plated dishes and melt-in-your-mouth textures to the top-tier service and elegant ambiance, everything was executed to perfection. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or just love an exceptional dining experience, Kawa is a must-visit in Brasília. Absolutely worth returning to.

Terrible experience. I paid almost R$500 and everything arrived in a shameless plastic container. It completely ruined the experience. We messaged the restaurant and they did absolutely nothing.
